The design of the plaza at Beauregard Hall aimed to transform a visually complex space into a cohesive and attractive environment. The accessible ramp, which had previously been added as an afterthought, was designed as an integral part of the raised planter system. The former expanse of concrete was divided to add more balance to the softscape and hardscape. The seating under the future canopy of the shade trees makes the space not only an inviting entrance for the students, but also an enjoyable destination to sit and relax.
